| PRODUCT OVERVIEW: | Digoxin is a cardiac drug given to treat patients with congestive heart failure, angina and arrhythmias. The clinical usefulness of the measurement of serum digoxin (DIG) is due to its low therapeutic ratio; a very small difference exists between therapeutic and toxic tissue levels. Digoxin must be monitored in patients to allow proper dose adjustment and prevent toxicity. |
