INTENDED USE:	The quantitative determination of Unconjugated estriol (u-E3) concentration in human serum or plasma by a Microplate Chemiliuminescense Immunoassay (CLIA).
PRODUCT OVERVIEW:	Unconjugated estriol in the serum of pregnant women originates almost exclusively from precursors in the fetus via the placenta. u-E3 may be used with AFP and hCG as a Triple Screen in pregnant women during their 3rd trimester to diagnose down-syndrome. Abnormally low levels of estriol in a pregnant woman may indicate a problem with the development in the child.
