HBA1c Reagents for HLC-723G8

INTRODUCTION:

Glycohemoglobin is a general term for the complexes where the whole blood glucose is non-enzymatically bound to α or β-chains of human hemoglobin. Within these complexes, HbA1c, which is the complex of glucose and the N-terminus of the β-chain, is the most prevalent. HbA1c is non-enzymatically synthesized in two steps. In first step labile HbA1c (L-A1c) is formed and in the second step, stable HbA1c (s-A1c) is formed. Due to the fact, L-A1c changes rapidly in response to changes in whole blood glucose concentrations, hence s-A1c is now used to evaluate the diabetes. S-A1c provides the best indication of average glucose levels over the most recent 1 to 3 month period because it does not fluctuate in response to physiological factors. HLC-723G8, an Automated Glycohemoglobin Analyzer based on High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) designed for quick separation of L-A1c and s-A1c.

TSKgel G8 Variant HSi
TSKgel G8 HSi is intended for in-vitro diagnostic use for the measurement of stable HbA1c in blood specimens. HCL-723G8 is based on the non-porous ion-exchange high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It is used for rapid, accurate and precise separation of the stable form of HbA1c (s-A1c) from other hemoglobin fractions. The non-porous TSKgel has been developed for the short time assay with high resolution.

G8 Variant Elution Buffer HSi 1 (S), 2 (S) & 3 (S) helps in proper separation and produces stable-A1c values that will not be affected by most commonly known hemoglobin variants. A step gradient elution is used to separate HbF, stable-A1c, total A1 and Hb Variants with three types of G8 Variant Elution Buffer HSi (G8 Variant Elution Buffer HSi 1 (S), 2 (S) & 3 (S)) of different salt concentration.

HSi Hemolysis And Wash Solution
HSi Hemolysis And Wash Solution is designed exclusively for use with Tosoh Automated Glycohemoglobin Analyzer. It lysis and dilutes the whole blood specimen and then injects a small volume of this specimen onto the TSKgel G8 Variant HSi column for measurement of stable-A1c.

Hemoglobin A1c Calibrator Set
The Hemoglobin A1c Calibrator Set is a reference agent specifically designed for calibrating Tosoh Automated Glycohemoglobin Analyzers (HLC-723G8 and HLC-723GX) which use stable A1c when performing assay operations. The assigned values are traceable to IFCC HbA1c Calibrator Set provided from IFCC Working Group on Standardization of HbA1c.

Hemoglobin A1c Control Set
The hemoglobin A1c Control Set has been designed exclusively for the quality control of Tosoh Automated Glycohemoglobin Analyzers, Standard Analysis Mode and Variant Analysis Mode. This product is intended for evaluation and monitoring of the performance of HbA1c assays on those analyzers. It consist of two levels of HbA1c (% or mmol/mol) to cover the clinically significant range for diabetes control.
